Brief introduction: Copper-Aluminum clad metal are usually used in electrical transition joints as terminal for the electric transfer, contactor in electrolyzer.

In any case, where the dissimilar materials have to be connected in electrically, there must be electrical resistance rising causing high temperature, over electricity consumption. These problems can be solved by using explosive welded Al-Cu clad metal since there is no electrical resistance rising in the interface between aluminum and copper.
